At The Sweet Elm, cooking is more than a recipe – it’s an experience.  Our themed cooking parties are immersive, hands-on gatherings designed to bring people together around beautiful food, thoughtful details, and a sense of occasion.  Whether you’re hosting friends, celebrating a milestone, or looking for a memorable night in, each experience is carefully curated to feel transportive, approachable and just a little indulgent.   

Expect guided cooking, shared tables, signature cocktails, and menus inspired by global flavors and classic comfort – always with The Sweet Elm’s signature touch of warmth and storytelling. 

Perfect for:  private groups, birthdays, girl’s nights, corporate gatherings, client appreciation events, and unforgettable evenings at home.  Each experience can be hosted in your home or a private venue and customized to your group size, dietary needs, and celebration style.

Pricing is based on experience selected and customization.  Starts at $60 pp.  Minimums apply.

Italian Night:  “The Godfather Dinner Party” 

  • Enjoy a spritz bar and wine while making meatballs and gnocchi with your guests. Sit down family style to share in the meal you’ve helped to create.  

Spanish Paella Fiesta 

  • Enjoy red and white sangria while noshing on tapas while you help to prepare the paella with your guests.  

Moroccan Tagine Night 

  • Enjoy cocktails while helping to create salads for your Moroccan meal. Sit down to a beautiful Marrakech inspired table scape where you will enjoy your salads and a home cooked meal inspired by Marrakech. Mint tea service will round out the evening. 

Mexican Fiesta 

  • Enjoy margaritas while making your own salsas and a churro inspired dessert. Sit down to a Mexican inspired table scape while enjoying a customized meal created especially for you and your guests. 

Chopped-Style Cooking Challenge 

  • Mystery ingredient baskets, timed team cook, judged competition, trophy presentation, open bar 

Murder Mystery Cooking Night 

  • Enjoy legendary cocktails, assigned characters and storyline and an unforgettable meal tailored to your preferences. 

Southern Comfort & Bourbon Night 

  • Enjoy sweet tea & bourbon inspired drinks while creating a Kentucky inspired charcuterie tray. Choose from making a variety of dips including homemade pimento cheese, Benedictine dip, bourbon bacon jam, bourbon whipped ricotta, hot brown dip and more! After making the board sit down to enjoy and take leftovers home with you to enjoy all week long!

Asian Dumpling Party 

  • Gather your guests and together participate in a dumpling folding workshop, create signature dipping sauces, and scallion pancakes.  

German Biergarten Dinner Party 

  • Enjoy traditional German beers while learning to make soft pretzels, schnitzel, spaetzle, &/or apple strudel.  

Tea Party (Bridgerton-Inspired) 

  • You and your guests will enjoy a curated tea flight and participate in making finger sandwiches &/or scones to enjoy on a tiered stand that will be featured on a beautiful table scape with fun kitschy mix & match cups & saucers.
